Born and raised along the beaches of the Emerald Coast, Ora "Orabel" Wolfgram is a Florida based artist whose work spans from fine art and illustration to production design and fabrication.

Ora graduated from University of Florida in 2023 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Drawing, along with minors of Art History and Graphic Design.

Ora is a big fan of theater and film– especially historical dramas. She enjoys researching and constructing historical costumes for pleasure and is a stickler for historical accuracy. As a native Floridian, Ora loves spending sunny days swimming and adventuring along the Gulf Coast. She grew up with a love for seafood and sweets, and relishes in cooking the latest catch and baking sweet treats for her friends and family.

Ora's artworks revolves around subjects of female identity, history, and fantasy. The exploration of personal histories, narratives and realities often based on events from her own experience, or those close to her, are the main concepts she ties together with the concepts of her interest. Her experience in theater, film and costuming primarily influence the stylization of her artworks.

Concept building and research are key elements to Ora's practice.

Working with tried and true techniques brings her comfort and efficiency; while improvised and experimental methods create an opportunity to learn and explore the capabilities of new mediums and materials. Ora likes to treat art making as a scientific investigation to add more excitement to her creative process.

Approach in the Studio

Ora Wolfgram has worked with art organizations along the Emerald Coast both as a passionate employee and attentive volunteer.

Since 2023, Ora has been working as the full-time Props Master and Stage Manager at Emerald Coast Theater Company. She's also worked with University of Florida's Florida players as a designer of props and costumes.

While working on a production, collaboration and communication with the director and designers are vital. Ora also takes priority in researching and analyzing the source material for productions. Whether she has a month or a week to produce costumes and/or props for a production, she believes in properly carrying out the story's message along with the director's vision.
